Polytetrafluoroethylene microporous membrane, also known as Teflon microporous membrane, is a new polymer material, referred to as ptfe.
PTFE microporous membrane has a three-dimensional network structure with no through holes.
The porosity and pore size distribution are important indicators for measuring PTFE membrane.
The porosity of Teflon microporous membrane is generally between 80% and 95%.
High porosity will increase ventilation; the pore size distribution is concentrated, indicating that the membrane pore size is uniform.
With its special production process, the company can control different pore sizes for different materials to achieve high-efficiency filtration.
Usually, membrane thickness is not an indicator for evaluating Teflon microporous membranes. If the thickness of the membrane is too thick, it will easily cause problems such as low air permeability and high operating pressure.
According to years of research and observation, film thickness basically does not affect the service life. The key is the composite strength, which is an important factor affecting the service life.
Let’s take a look at the membrane’s composite pathway.
In order to extend the service life and increase the strength of the membrane, it is necessary to compound the Teflon microporous membrane to various filter materials, such as various needle-punched felts, woven fabrics, glass fiber, etc.
Due to the non-sticky nature of ptfe itself, it requires very high requirements for membrane lamination technology. Currently, there are two lamination methods: glue lamination and thermal lamination.
① Glue composite is a relatively elementary composite method, which has low composite strength, is easy to peel off, and has a short service life. Due to the penetration of glue, it has poor air permeability and is not suitable for cleaning, which weakens the superior performance of PTFE.
②Thermal composite advanced composite method completely maintains the superior performance of PTFE microporous membrane, but has strict requirements for thermal composite technology.
Suzhou Teflon microporous membrane materials are all made of ptfe. We are a manufacturer specializing in the production of polytetrafluoroethylene membrane materials. In the field of industrial sewage treatment, we have the characteristics of “uniform and stable, high efficiency and low resistance, long life, customizable, and cleanable”. Features such as “easy maintenance” have been accepted and loved by the majority of enterprises.
