1. There are several reasons for holes caused in dyeing and finishing:
(1) The dosage of acid oxygen water is too high;
(2) There are more iron ions in the water quality;
(3) If the holes are regular, there is something wrong with the equipment;
(4) Improper “temperature + time” parameters;
(5) Holes appear during bleaching. In most cases, they are caused by the reaction between hydrogen peroxide and iron ions;
(6) Excessive purity of hydrogen peroxide and alkali;
(7) Whether water softener is added in pre-treatment and dyeing, the metal ion content in the water may be too high;
(8) Hydrogen peroxide caused by heavy metal ions rapidly decomposes locally, causing holes.
2. Analysis of the causes of holes caused by hydrogen peroxide bleaching:
(1) The cloth is stained with oil stains of heavy metal ions such as copper and iron before bleaching; or it comes into contact with copper, iron and other equipment during the bleaching process.
(2) The concentration of hydrogen peroxide is too high, the steaming time after bleaching is too long or superheated steam is used.
(3) If the gray fabric is mercerized before bleaching, due to uneven washing after mercerization, the PH value of the fabric surface will be too high and the alkali content will be excessive in some areas.
(4) Improper selection of stabilizer or poor stabilizing effect of the stabilizer causes accelerated decomposition of hydrogen peroxide.
All of the above points may cause holes in the fabric, but heavy metal ions are more harmful.
