1. Factors that affect the Easy to decontaminate test

Composition of dirt: The composition of dirt on textiles varies with the different uses of textiles, such as clothing, decoration and industrial use, and different environmental conditions. When testing the easy dirt removal performance, synthetic dirt or standard dirt prepared to simulate human body dirt and dust in the air is used. Contamination method: The commonly used contamination method is to apply a standard contamination liquid or suspension of a specified concentration to the sample, or use a standard contamination cloth sample to rub the sample to simulate the accumulation process of natural contamination. Washing method: Washing method includes washing equipment, detergent type and washing conditions.

2. Determination of decontamination rate

The stain removal rate refers to the degree of dirt removal or the amount of dirt remaining on the fabric after the stained fabric is washed under specified washing conditions. It is visually compared with the standard sample card rating, and the rating method is used to evaluate the easy stain removal performance of the easily stained fabric. It can be calculated by measuring the reflectivity of the sample before and after washing. After measuring the reflectance, the decontamination rate of the sample can be calculated according to the following formula. D=(Rsx-Rsu)/(Rtu-Rsu)×100%, Rsx washed x times The reflectance after washing; Rtu: the reflectance of the uncontaminated and unwashed sample; Rsu: the reflectance of the contaminated sample before washing.

At present, my country mainly adopts four standard methods for performance testing of easy to remove finishing textile products, namely American standards (AATCC and ASTM), European standards (ISO), Chinese standards (GB/T and FZ/T) and laboratory standards (BV, 3M, DuPont and ITS, etc.). Export products basically adopt American standards, European standards and laboratory standards according to the habits and requirements of different customers. Specific test indicators are determined according to product requirements. Among them, the easy stain removal test is to apply oil droplets or different dirt to the fabric, and then wash it with water under certain conditions to determine the residual stain status.

Test: Parking

Place two 38cm×38 samples on a flat absorbent paper. Drop 5 drops of corn oil in the center of the sample. Cover the oil dripping position with cellophane paper. Place a 2.27kg weight and hold for 60 seconds. Remove the weight and cellophane after 20 minutes. Wash the sample for 12 minutes at washing temperatures of 27, 41, 49 and 60°C, tumble dry at medium temperature, and compare and rate it with the sample card within 4 hours.

Method 1

Decontamination test

Apply stains with a diameter of 2cm on two samples and leave them at room temperature (20℃) for 2 hours. Soak the sponge in water and wipe the samples with detergent for 30 seconds. Rinse the samples with tap water and air dry. Repeat 5 times in total. Compare the samples after the test with Changes from the original condition or stain residue.

Method 2

Decontamination test

Draw 6 127mm×127mm squares on the sample, use a dropper to drop 5 drops of liquid reagent respectively, use a spoon to evenly spread the sauce reagent over the designated squares, cover it with wax paper, and place a 2.27kg weight on it for 60 seconds. , remove the weight and wax paper, dry for 30 minutes, machine wash at 41°C for 12 minutes, tumble dry at medium temperature, and rate with the AATCC decontamination rating board.

Method 3

Decontamination test

The sample is 1.094m × full width. Mark the sample. The first row is the original sample, the second row is the water-soluble stain, and the third row is the solvent-based stain. Apply 5 drops of liquid stain or 5 grams of sauce-like stain, cover with cellophane, apply pressure with a 2.27 kg weight, hold for 60 seconds, remove the weight and cellophane, let dry for 5 minutes and 24 hours respectively, wipe the stain with a cotton filter cloth. The wiping time for each stain should not exceed 2 minutes, and the rating should be compared with the original stain. Level 5: Complete removal; Level 4: Good removal, with stains remaining; Level 3: Slightly better removal, more than 75% of the stains are removed; Level 2: Average removal, more than 50% of the stains are removed; Level 1 : Poor removal, more than 50% of stains were not removed.

Ketchup, black coffee, mayonnaise, salad dressing, tea, blood, urine, povidone-iodine, iodine, sunscreen, ink, milk, cola.

Evaluation of easy stain removal performance

For 6 pieces of 150 mm × 150 mm samples, drop 0.2 mL of dirty oil on the samples, cover them with polyethylene film, put a 2.27 kg weight on them for 1 minute, release the weight and remove the film, and leave the samples at room temperature for 20 minutes. Then wash in the washing machine at 40°C for 12 minutes, dry in the oven at 60°C, and use the discoloration gray card to compare the ratings with the original ones that have been washed in the same way.
