Guide roller steamer

Steaming is the process of using steam to treat printed fabrics. The purpose of steaming is to make the printed fabric absorb moisture and heat up the fiber and color paste, thereby promoting the reduction and dissolution of the dye, and transferring and fixing it to the fiber. Steaming machine is a special equipment used to steam the fabric after printing or coloring, so that the dye can be fixed on the fabric.
In the steamer, the fabric quickly heats up after encountering saturated steam. At this time, the condensed water can dissolve the dyes and chemical reagents in the color paste, and some will also undergo chemical reactions, penetrate into the fiber, and move into the fiber. Diffusion to achieve color fixation. Therefore, the steamer must provide the temperature and humidity conditions required to complete this process. According to the different forms of fabric transmission, steaming machines are divided into two types: guide roller type and long ring type.
1. Guide roller steamer
The guide roller steamer is suitable for steaming and fixing the vat dyes or reactive dyes in cotton and polyester-cotton blended chemical fiber fabrics at room temperature and pressure after printing. The fabric is threaded vertically between the guide rollers, and it is a steaming machine with double-sided contact and tight transmission of the fabric, as shown in Figure 8-34. The nominal width of this machine is 1100mm and 1600mm. The printed fabric can be continuously steamed in single or double layers in the machine. The speed is 20~70m/min. The fabric capacity is about 225m in single layer. The steaming time is 3~11min. Steaming temperature is 102~105℃.
The upper cloth guide roller of the steamer is a driving roller and adopts a one-way overrunning clutch, which can automatically adjust the fabric tension evenly through the sliding of the clutch. The steam seal and the top of the box are heated by a steam jacket. There is a fan exhaust at the rear of the top of the box, which is used when the steam box is heating up to remove water dripping from the top of the box. There is a water tank for direct steam heating at the bottom of the box, and there is also an indirect steam heating pipe in the tank. . Usually there are two copper steam nozzle pipes installed on the water surface. In addition to supplying saturated steam, they can also be used to remove the air in the machine when driving. In order to prevent water droplets and steam in the sink from splashing onto the fabric and causing water stains, a porous partition 9 is provided on the sink, and burlap or the like can also be laid on it. In addition, there are also humidification devices that use steam to inject condensed water spray.

The fabric enters the machine from the cloth vapor seal in the upper part of the steaming box, first downwards through the six super-speed cloth guide rollers below, and then upwards, starting from the last active cloth guide roller in the upper row and then by It travels between the upper and lower cloth guide rollers backward and forward, and runs to the upper front and upper cloth outlet to discharge the cloth. In this way, the incoming woven fabric is first wetted and preheated by steam, and then passes up and down, which is conducive to the full dissolution, reaction and fixation of the dye in the color paste. The waste hot air with high humidity is discharged from the exhaust pipe behind the steamer.
