Pad machine – function and pad uniformity

The padding machine is used to pad various chemical liquids or dye liquors so that they can be evenly distributed in the fabric at a certain padding rate. Therefore, the requirements for padding are relatively high. The padding uniformity in the warp direction of the fabric mainly depends on the stability of the padding process parameters. Therefore, during the padding process, various process parameters and the working status of the padding car are required to be very stable. However, the uniformity of the fabric in the weft direction is mainly related to the structure of the rolling car, that is, the roller.
The padding uniformity in the weft direction of the fabric (hereinafter referred to as padding uniformity) is expressed by the relative error of the padding rate at each point in the same weft direction of the fabric. In actual production, comparison can be made by measuring the rolling residue rates at the left, middle and right rolling points of the fabric. Generally, the uniformity of the rolling liquid should be less than 2%. If it is between 2% and 5%, the process conditions can be adjusted to make up for it. However, if the rolling liquid uniformity is greater than 5%, the resulting defects cannot be overcome.
There are many methods to determine the fabric roll-out ratio. Commonly used methods include fabric strip rolling method and carbon paper imprinting method. The fabric strip rolling method is to place strip fabrics on the left, middle and right sides of the roller. After rolling, measure their respective rolling residue rates, compare them, and calculate the uniformity of the rolling liquid, as shown in Figure 3- As shown in 18, this is a quantitative testing method. The carbon paper imprint method is an indirect static measurement method. Clamp the copy paper cut into strips with white newspapers of uniform thickness, put them into the left, middle and right places of the roller, and press them for a certain time. Take them out and measure the width of the marks on the white newspapers to compare the rolling fluid. Uniformity, which is a qualitative test method.
