Classification of woven fabrics
1. Woven fabrics can usually be divided into machine-made fabrics and hand-woven fabrics.
According to different processing techniques, it is divided into several categories: bleached cloth, printed cloth, dyed cloth, yarn-dyed cloth, etc.
1. Bleached cloth
The finished fabric is made after rinsing and shaping the gray fabric.
2. Printed cloth
The gray fabric is processed and then printed. Generally, there are two categories: manual printing and machine printing.
①Hand-made printing: often printed on a plate;
②Machine printing: roller printing and screen printing. Screen printing is divided into flat screen printing and rotary screen printing. The finished cloth is then processed and finished.
3. Dyed cloth
The gray fabric is dyed after being pre-treated and semi-bleached. It is generally divided into pad dyeing and vat dyeing, and then finished fabric is made after finishing.
4. Yarn-dyed fabric
Fabric woven from dyed yarn. There are generally two ways to dye yarn:
① Color spinning: Before spinning, the raw materials are colored, such as dyeing cotton, or yarn spun from colored cotton. This process is mostly used for wool spinning and cotton spinning, including blended yarns.
②Dyeing yarn: Dye the gray yarn after rinsing. Then colored yarn is used to weave and finish the finished product, which is called yarn-dyed fabric.
2. According to the different raw materials used, woven fabrics can be divided into:
1. Linen
It is a kind of fabric made from various hemp plant fibers such as hemp, flax, ramie, jute, sisal, and abaca. It is generally used to make casual wear and work clothes, and is currently used to make ordinary summer clothes.
Advantages: It has extremely high strength, moisture absorption, thermal conductivity, and excellent air permeability.
Disadvantages: It is not very comfortable to wear, and the appearance is rough and stiff.
2. Silk
It is a general term for various silk fabrics woven with silk as raw material. Like cotton, it comes in many varieties with different personalities. It can be used to make a variety of clothing, especially women’s clothing.
Advantages: thin, fit, soft, smooth, breathable, colorful, shiny, noble and elegant, comfortable to wear.
Disadvantages: prone to wrinkles, easy to absorb, not strong enough, fades quickly.
3. Wool
Also called wool, it is a general term for fabrics woven from various types of wool and cashmere. It is usually suitable for making formal and high-end clothing such as dresses, suits, and coats.
Advantages: Anti-wrinkle and wear-resistant, soft to the touch, elegant and crisp, elastic and warm.
Disadvantages: The main reason is that it is difficult to wash and is not suitable for making summer clothes.

Disadvantages: easy to shrink and wrinkle, poor recovery, poor gloss, must be ironed frequently when wearing.
5. Chemical fiber cloth
It is the abbreviation of chemical fiber. It is a fiber textile made from polymer compounds. Usually it is divided into two categories: artificial fiber and synthetic fiber.
Advantages: bright colors, soft texture, crisp drape, smooth and comfortable.
Disadvantages: poor wear resistance, heat resistance, hygroscopicity and air permeability, easy to deform when exposed to heat, and easy to generate static electricity. Although it can be used to make all kinds of clothing, the overall grade is not high and it is difficult to be elegant.
6. Blended fabric
It is a fabric made by mixing natural fibers and chemical fibers in a certain proportion and can be used to make various clothing.
Advantages: It not only absorbs the advantages of cotton, linen, silk, wool and chemical fiber, but also avoids their respective disadvantages as much as possible, and is relatively low in value, so it is very popular.
According to different weaving methods, it can also be divided into: plain weave, poplin, khaki, twill, herringbone, Oxford, chambray, denim, gabardine, satin, dobby, jacquard, etc.

The main advantages of woven fabrics are stable structure, flat cloth surface, and generally no sagging when drape, making it suitable for various selection methods. Woven fabrics are suitable for various printing and dyeing treatments. Generally speaking, printing and jacquard patterns are more sophisticated than knitted fabrics, knitted fabrics and felt fabrics. There is a wide variety of fabric designs and colors. As a clothing fabric, it has good washing resistance and can be used for freshening, dry cleaning and various finishing.
4. Disadvantages of woven fabrics:
The elasticity of woven fabrics is not as good as knitted fabrics. If the finishing is not done properly, the warp and weft will be tilted, which will affect the clothing selection, sewing processing and wearing effect. However, with its many advantages, it is widely used in clothing. . uvSZJnHlF
