Neps are fibers, immature cotton or stiff cotton that accumulate due to poor ginning quality or poor handling during the spinning process. . The identification method is as follows:
(1) Whether the neps in the yarn are yellow, white, round, flat, large or small, it depends on the visual inspection of the inspector. What can be identified is included.
(2) Fibers gathered into groups, whether loose or tight, are counted as neps.
(3) Neps (pieces, sheets, strips) formed by immature cotton and stiff cotton are counted as neps.
(4) Although the yellow and white fibers do not form neps, but they form cotton bundles and some of them are entangled in the yarn, they are counted as neps.
(5) Attached neps, counted as neps.
(6) Impurities attached to the neps are counted as neps, excluding impurities.
(7) Any thick spots in cotton yarn sliver will be inspected according to the sliver and will not be counted as neps.
