​ Different fabric varieties require straight and firm edges to meet the requirements for post-finishing. Water-jet looms generally use a simple and effective planetary wheel rope-shaped hemming device to tighten the two ends of the weft yarn to complete the hemming action and ensure the continuous progress of weaving.
(1) Types of planetary wheel rope-shaped hemming devices: Generally speaking, there are two categories. One type is gear transmission, which has greater transmission accuracy and torque, but has high noise and resistance; the other type is toothed belt transmission, which has low noise and low transmission torque.
(2) Planetary wheel rope-shaped hemming device Figure 3-23 shows the planetary wheel combination in the gear-driven planetary rope-shaped hemming device. In the figure, the two axes a and b are respectively the centers of the rotating shafts of the twisted edge wire frame. On the one hand, the two wire frames rotate around the c axis, and on the other hand, they rotate around the a and b axes to form rope-like edges.
