American Apparel and Footwear Association releases first edition of Restricted Substances List

Recently, the American Apparel and Footwear Association released the 20th edition of the Restricted Substances List (RSL).

This list is compiled by the Environmental Task Force of the American Apparel and Footwear Association. It lists the most stringent laws in each country that prohibit or restrict the use of certain materials and chemicals. Regulation, designed to provide apparel and footwear companies with information on laws and regulations around the world that restrict or prohibit the use of certain chemicals and substances in finished home textiles, apparel and footwear.
