Pakistan cotton yarn prices are stable, blended yarn prices are reduced
In the week of March 20-24, the prices of polyester and viscose in Pakistan fell, and yarn prices were lowered accordingly. According to statistics, the domestic price of 1.4D polyester staple fiber in Pakistan fell by 2 rupees/kg to 128 rupees/kg (1.22 US dollars/kg), a decrease of 1.54%; the price of CNF imported from China was US$0.99/kg. The price of CNF imported from China for viscose fiber has dropped to US$2.15/kg.
Currently, affected by the continued rise in cotton prices, Pakistan’s polyester fiber consumption continues to increase. No matter how cotton prices rebound in the past few weeks, cotton yarn prices in Pakistan remain stable, mainly due to competition from Vietnam and India.
As the cost of raw materials increases further, profits of Pakistani spinning mills are declining. According to statistics, cotton prices have surged by 7.94% in the past three months, while C30S prices have only increased by 5.73%, polyester-cotton yarn (PC) prices have remained unchanged, and polyester-viscose yarn (PV) prices have declined slightly.
