Leaders of Fenggang County, Guizhou Province investigate the sericulture industry

On July 1, Ma Hua, deputy secretary of the Fenggang County Party Committee and county magistrate of Guizhou Province, led a team to Yonghe Town and Heba Street to investigate the development of the sericulture industry and carry out forest patrols. Zhou Zongqin, Chairman of the County CPPCC, and relevant persons in charge of the County Sericulture Office and County Forestry Bureau accompanied the investigation.

The MCA delegation visited the Li Fei sericulture breeding site in Yutang Village, Yonghe Town, the collective economic silkworm house of Yonghua Community, and the collective economic silkworm house of Yutang Village, Heba Street to investigate the situation of sericulture industry breeding. Through on-site visits, on-site communication with the masses, and listening to department reports, we learned in detail about the current progress of sericulture and breeding in Fenggang County and the difficulties and problems encountered in industrial development.

MCA pointed out that sericulture and mulberry breeding in Fenggang County have achieved large-scale, industrialized, and chain-like development. The public does not have to worry about selling silkworm cocoons. The enthusiasm for planting mulberry and raising sericulture has been enhanced, and economic income has also increased significantly. MCA requires the county sericulture special class and all towns (subdistricts) to strengthen the management and guidance of the county’s sericulture houses and mulberry gardens to achieve “planting good mulberries, raising good silkworms, producing high yields, and increasing incomes.” The County Agricultural and Rural Affairs Bureau should actively connect with the Provincial Institute of Sericulture and relevant experts to strengthen technical guidance on disease prevention of large silkworms and co-breeding of small silkworms throughout the county, so as to ensure that every silkworm can increase production and income. All cadres must improve their political position, seize the opportunity of the national policy of “moving mulberry from east to west”, vigorously support the deep processing enterprises of mulberry silk fabrics introduced by the county party committee and government, ensure that the people can sell cocoons conveniently and continue to increase their income, and make the sericulture industry a “new factor in Fenggang’s economic growth” engine”.
