On November 7, the cold box of the No. 1 air separation unit of Ningxia Kunpeng Clean Energy Co., Ltd.’s ethylene glycol project, which was constructed by the Yinchuan project team of Installation Engineering Company No. 1, successfully achieved the structural capping.
The cold box of the 1# air separation unit is 11.4m long, 7.9m wide and 67m high. During the construction process, the scaffolding was erected at a height of 65m. The high altitude and small working space, coupled with the delayed supply of materials, had a great impact on the construction progress. The project team overcame difficulties, organized rationally, worked overtime and postponed deadlines, and finally successfully capped the cold box structure of the 1# air separation unit.
The ethylene glycol project of Ningxia Kunpeng Clean Energy Co., Ltd. includes two sets of 68000Nm3/h air separation units. The cold box of the 1# air separation unit was successfully capped, which played a positive role in accelerating the construction of the cold box of the 2# air separation unit. The promotion role has laid a solid foundation for achieving the completion target of the ethylene glycol project in 2021.
The power station project of Ningxia Kunpeng Clean Energy Co., Ltd. has started construction on March 1, 2020. The installed capacity of the first phase is 2×480/h circulating fluidized bed boiler + 2×40MW extraction back steam turbine unit + 1×40MW extraction condensing rear-mounted steam turbine unit. The project follows the principle of cogeneration units using heat to determine electricity, making full use of waste heat steam from chemical plants to maximize energy recovery and utilization.
Ningxia Kunpeng Clean Energy Co., Ltd. has a total investment of 4.33 billion yuan in its annual coal-to-ethylene glycol project with an annual output of 400,000 tons. It uses coal as raw material to produce syngas, and then uses syngas as raw material to generate ethylene glycol and combined Alcohol, hydrogen and other products, the main construction content includes 10 sets of main production equipment such as gasification, transformation and heat recovery, low-temperature methanol washing, PSA hydrogen production, CO cryogenic separation, joint alcohol unit, sulfur recovery, ethylene glycol, etc., and supporting construction Circulating water field, sewage treatment station, tank farm, loading and unloading, torch and other public and auxiliary facilities. It is planned to open the entire process on June 30, 2021.
Ningxia Kunpeng Clean Energy Co., Ltd. was established in August 2018. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ningxia Baoli New Energy with a registered capital of 1.5 billion yuan. It is a key enterprise in Ningdong base for high-quality clean energy production. The company cooperates with Ningdong Investment Company (investing 30%) to build a coal-to-ethylene glycol project with an annual output of 400,000 tons.
