Supply side: Domestic production of PX in January totaled 175.84 million tons, an increase of 58,400 tons compared with December.
Device changes:
1. The 750,000-ton unit of Pengzhou Petrochemical will be inspected from January 4th to 8th.
2. Zhejiang’s 4 million tons of PX dropped to 90% near mid-month, which is expected to affect half a month.
3. The 800,000-ton PX device in Fujian Fuhai was shut down on December 18 and restarted on January 25.
4. The 1.6 million-ton unit of Zhongjin Petrochemical was shut down on November 29 and started up on January 26.
5. The PX operating load of Sinochem Quanzhou’s 800,000 tons and two new units of Dongying Weilian Chemical has increased.
PX production in February is estimated to be 1.7351 million tons, a decrease of 23,300 tons from January.
Installation changes: There were no installation changes in PX in February. At the beginning of the month, the Zhejiang installation was considered to be at full capacity.
Demand side: PTA production in January is estimated at 4.35 million tons, a decrease of 324,600 tons from December.
Device changes:
1. On January 6, Jiangyin China Resources’ 2.2 million-ton unit was shut down.
2. Fuhai Chuang’s 4.5 million ton unit will be inspected on December 23, and qualified products are planned to be produced around January 22.
3. The load of the 2.25 million-ton unit of Yisheng Huahua was reduced to 50% on January 12, and production was at full capacity on January 16.
4. Sichuan Shengda’s 1 million ton unit was shut down on December 29 and restarted around January 7.
5. Yisheng Ningbo’s planned 2.2 million-ton unit will be inspected for 15 days on January 24.
5. This month, Baihong’s 2.5 million-ton new device will be put into operation in the second half of this month, giving a production capacity of 50% of the load in one week.
PTA production in February is estimated to be 4.29 million tons, a decrease of 60,000 tons from January.
Device changes: Assume that Baihong’s 2.5 million tons device will be fully loaded in half a month.
