Recently, Huashuo Technology Co., Ltd. (abbreviation: Huashuo Technology) and China Wuhuan Engineering Company officially signed a catalyst supply contract for the comprehensive utilization of waste gas of Hami Guanghui Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. with an annual output of 400,000 tons of ethylene glycol project. and technology licensing contracts, with a total contract value of tens of millions of yuan. The signing of this supply contract marks that Huashuo Technology’s independently developed WHB coal-to-polymerization grade ethylene glycol technology and its key catalysts have taken another important and solid step in the field of coal-to-ethylene glycol.
The Hami Guanghui Ethylene Glycol Project purifies raw coal gas through conversion and gas purification and separation devices to obtain qualified carbon monoxide and hydrogen. , and then produce ethylene glycol through the five-ring complex oxalate ester method. It will be constructed in two phases, with the first and second phases each carrying 200,000 tons/year of ethylene glycol. EPC general contracting by Wuhuan Engineering Company. It is planned to clear the process on August 31 this year.
Huashuo Technology Co., Ltd. was approved by the Hubei Provincial People’s Government (E Zhenghan [2008] No. 146) and was established as a joint-stock system by the overall restructuring of the Hubei Provincial Institute of Chemistry. The company has a registered capital of 130 million yuan and was listed on the New OTC Market in 2016. The company is mainly engaged in the research and development of new chemical materials, new chemical products, new chemical processes, technology transfer, technical training, technical services and engineering design and construction in related fields; optical communication and electronic information materials, industrial catalysts and purifiers, chemical industry Development, production and sales of equipment, instruments and instruments in fields related to pharmaceutical intermediates, construction and building materials chemicals and fine chemical products.
Project Overview
On September 9, 2019, Guanghui Energy Gas Comprehensive Utilization Year The project to produce 400,000 tons of ethylene glycol has been fully started. The project relies on the by-product shortage of the 10 million tons/year coal graded upgrading and comprehensive utilization project invested and constructed by Xinjiang Guanghui Coal Clean Refining Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Guanghui Energy. Coal gas is used as raw material, and a series of technologies such as conversion, transformation, adsorption, and separation are used to produce high-end chemical ethylene glycol.
This project uses the “WHB synthesis gas to produce polyester-grade ethylene glycol” jointly developed by China Wuhuan and Huashuo Technology Co., Ltd. and Hebi BMW (Group) Co., Ltd. The third generation technology, through a series of processes such as conversion, transformation, low-temperature methanol washing, PSA adsorption and separation, extracts the high-value synthesis gas components H2 and CO from raw coal gas, and produces high-end products through carbonylation, hydrogenation, and refining technologies. Chemical products – polyester grade ethylene glycol.
Hami Guanghui Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd.’s waste gas comprehensive utilization project with an annual output of 400,000 tons of ethylene glycol is located in Naomao Lake Industrial Park, Yiwu County, Hami City, Xinjiang, with a total investment of 3.56 billion yuan. The project uses the third-generation “WHB synthesis gas to polyester-grade ethylene glycol” technology jointly developed by China Wuhuan Huashuo Technology Co., Ltd. and Hebi BMW (Group) Co., Ltd., through conversion, transformation, low-temperature methanol washing, Through a series of processes such as PSA adsorption and separation, the high-value syngas components H2 and CO in raw coal gas are extracted, and high-end chemical products – polyester grade ethylene glycol are produced through carbonylation, hydrogenation, and refining technologies. Data shows that this PSA-CO device is also the largest pressure swing adsorption CO purification device in the world so far.
The Guanghui ethylene glycol project was built in two phases, the first phase is 200,000 tons, with a total investment of 1.87 billion yuan, and the second phase is 200,000 tons, with a total investment of 1.686 billion yuan.
Compared with coal-to-ethylene glycol projects, using raw coal gas to produce ethylene glycol can save more than 30% of project construction investment, significantly reduce the production cost of ethylene glycol products, and improve the overall profitability of the project. Not only It is in line with the new green development concept and plays a very positive role in promoting energy conservation and emission reduction and promoting ecological and environmental protection. </p
