According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in June 2021, the national industrial producer price increased by 8.8% year-on-year and 0.3% month-on-month. In the first half of the year, industrial producer prices increased by 5.1% compared with the same period last year.
From a year-on-year perspective, among the ex-factory prices for industrial producers, the price of means of production increased by 11.8%, affecting the overall level of ex-factory prices for industrial producers to increase by approximately 8.76 percentage points. Among them, the price of raw material industry increased by 18.0%, and the price of processing industry increased by 7.4%. The price of daily necessities increased by 0.3% year-on-year, affecting the overall level of factory prices for industrial producers to increase by approximately 0.07 percentage points. Among them, the price of clothing decreased by 0.8%, the price of general daily necessities increased by 0.3%, and the price of durable consumer goods decreased by 0.6%.
From a month-on-month perspective, among the industrial producer prices, the price of production materials increased by 0.5%, affecting the overall level of industrial producer prices to increase by approximately 0.36 percentage points. Among them, the industrial price of raw materials increased by 0.2%, and the price of processing industry increased by 0.3%. Prices of living materials fell by 0.2% year-on-year, affecting the overall level of factory prices for industrial producers to fall by about 0.05 percentage points. Among them, the price of clothing decreased by 0.3%, the price of general daily necessities decreased by 0.2%, and the price of durable consumer goods increased by 0.1%.
