The China Down Industry Standards Revision Conference that just concluded in Taiqian County gave birth to the “Taiqian Standard”: Representatives from more than 100 units including the National Down Industry Association (Chamber of Commerce), industrial bases, inspection agencies, and production companies gathered in front of the stage to conduct a review of the national down industry standards. Standards such as code names, product names, technologies and inspection methods for down and feather products have been revised.
The down industry in Taiqian County emerged in the late 1970s. It started from purchasing and reselling feathers. After more than 40 years of continuous development, the county has formed a relatively complete system of duck and goose breeding, feather sorting and washing, and down clothing and apparel processing. With the industrial chain, down buyers and sellers are spread all over the country. At present, the county has more than 80 down clothing and product companies, processing more than 30 million pieces (sets) of clothing and feather craft products annually. The products are exported to more than 40 countries and regions including the United States, the United Kingdom, and South Korea, with an annual output value of more than 3 billion. Yuan.
