Distinguished by material composition: Antibacterial fabrics for patient clothing can be divided into two categories: cotton and polyester cotton.

Distinguished by dyeing and finishing methods: Antibacterial fabrics for patient clothing can be divided into two categories: printing and yarn-dyed.

Compared with ordinary fabrics, antibacterial fabrics for patient clothing have the following characteristics:

A. High color fastness to abrasion, high color fastness to washing, and high color fastness to perspiration. Hospitalized patients often lie on the hospital bed. When they are in pain, they will sweat profusely and roll on the bed. Moreover, they are washed frequently, so the patient clothing fabrics are required to have higher color fastness requirements.

B. Can’t afford the ball. Patient uniforms are related to the image of the hospital. What is the reason for pilling of fabrics? The yarn of textile fabrics is composed of fibers. Some short fibers are easily exposed on the cloth surface. Due to static electricity caused by friction, the short fibers wrap around each other to form balls. Therefore, patient clothing fabrics should not contain short fibers that are prone to pilling.

C. Sweat-absorbent and breathable. Hospitalized patients are generally prone to sweating, so patient clothing fabrics are required to have good sweat-absorbing and breathable properties.

D. Resistant to chlorine bleaching. Hospitals usually use chlorine-containing disinfectant to disinfect clothing. Chlorine is a bleaching agent that can strip dyes from clothing. Therefore, patient clothing fabrics must use dyes that are resistant to chlorine bleaching. Otherwise, the fabric will fade quickly until all the color is gone.
