India exports 10,000 tons of cotton yarn
In May, India exported 101,100 tons of cotton yarn (under HS: 5205), a month-on-month increase of 39.26%, which was the same as the same period last year. India exported cotton yarn in the 2021/22 fiscal year (August-May) 999,900 tons, a year-on-year increase of 11.30%. The main exporting countries and export volume proportions are as follows: exports to Bangladesh reached 427,100 tons, a year-on-year increase of 89.64%, accounting for 42.71%; exports to China reached 143,500 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 37.80%, accounting for 14.35%.
