Recently, Ningxia Kunpeng Clean Energy Co., Ltd.’s 400,000-ton-annual coal-to-ethylene glycol project’s air separation unit #2 cold box successfully achieved structural capping.
The ethylene glycol project includes 2 sets of 68000Nm³/h air separation units. The cold box is an important part of the air separation unit, and the capping of the cold box marks an important node in the construction of the air separation unit. 2# cold box is 11.4m long, 7.9m wide and 67m high. The 2# cold box was capped successfully, laying a solid foundation for the project to be completed on schedule.
Project Overview
Ningxia Kunpeng Clean Energy Co., Ltd.’s annual output of 400,000 tons of coal-to-ethylene glycol project has a total investment of 4.33 billion Yuan, Ningxia Kunpeng’s 400,000 tons of ethylene glycol uses coal as raw material, Shenning furnace pulverized coal gasification, Japan’s high-chemical dimethyl oxalate production of ethylene glycol technology. The products are 400,000 tons/year ethylene glycol, 52,000 m3/h hydrogen and 400,000 tons/year combined alcohol. Among them, the combined alcohols include 328,000 tons of refined methanol and 36,200 tons of ethanol.
The main construction content includes 10 sets of main production equipment including gasification, conversion and heat recovery, low-temperature methanol washing, PSA hydrogen production, CO cryogenic separation, joint alcohol unit, sulfur recovery, ethylene glycol, etc., and supporting facilities Construct public and auxiliary facilities such as circulating water fields, sewage treatment stations, tank farms, loading and unloading, and flares. It is planned to clear the entire process on June 30, 2021.
